HI! And a happy Monday to you! This weekend was my sweet daughter's birthday, and my sweet Daughter-In-Laws birthday too! I'm so blessed to have a great DIL! She's a great mom to my grandkids:-) .WOW time flies! My daughter turned 30...I can't believe I have a 30 year old!! She was taking it hard but I think she realized we can't stop it....so enjoy lol! She has turned into the most beautiful, sweet, caring adult and her laugh is contagious. She always has a smile on her face for all. I'm so so proud of the person she is :-) I saw the grand kids this weekend and as always they are the cutest!!! Jasmine drew me a Mickey mouse picture..because she know grandma LOVES Mickey! And Liberty and I read a book. It rained here all weekend...I mean poured! But, we needed it so bad...Were far behind this year. I hope you have a great week!

Here's my card! I kept it simple as I wanted the bride's dress to stand out. The hearts in the background are cut with my Cricut. And the circles are cut with my Silhoutte. I haven't had alot of time to play with it, but what time I have had....I'm loving it! I love this little bride and groom they are so so precious! I wanted to share this week's challenge going on over at My Time Made Easy Pretty Pallette

The challenge is to use these colors :

I embossed some pink cardstock with a Sizzix embossing folder I picked up at Michael's last year. then I ran some white ink over the top. The doily punch is from EK and I love it! The heart is from MMTE. I cut the circles in the background with my Silhoutte and the flower is Crate Paper.

Hi sweet blogging friends!! How about another challenge from The Shabby Tea Room? This week's beautiful challenge and picture comes from Fran

The challenge this week is to :

Create a card / project using the colours Grey,Lilac, Peach & Pink plus lace and metal embellishment.

I decided to use a new doily stamp as the background on the Kraft paper as it stands out more. and that little flower bouquet is from this week's sponsor bugaboo stamps and I used their wedding-rose-bouquet. The picture turned out a little brighter then what the card looks like in person, but I promise I used peach in the flowers lol! For the metal embellishment I used a paper clip from Tom Holtz. The pink paper in the background is LYB.

The prize this week from Bugaboo stamps is 7 digi stamps! WOW they have the cutest stamps!!!

This week's Guest Designer is Geri Freeman and I am a big fan of her work and excited to see what she creates!! And our Monthly Guest Designer is Pattie Goldman who I am also a big fan of! I made the white heart banner by just punching out some white hearts and gluing them to twine.Easy Peesy! The white heart on the left gift holder is a die from Cheery Lynn there are very intricate and I LOVE them! And on the bottom holder I punched out a heart and added some lace paper from behind. All three holders we so quick and easy!!

Hi!!! and a Happy Monday to you! I hope you had a great weeend? I did :-) But they always go to fast. I ran a bunch of errands on Saturday and Sunday I cleaned house and finished up some errands...I didn't sit at my crafting table once ...and that felt very weird....lol!!! The weather is unseasonably warm...Sunday was 70! Now we are8 inchs below average this year in rain and I feel sorry for the ski resort...I don't think it's even opened yet :-( But I do LOVE the sun conbined with the cooler weather. !

Well, let's get on with this week's challenge :-)

The challenge is to:

Creat a card/project using the colors in the inspiration photo and one item related to sewing.

Hi !!! And happy New Year!!! Did you have somewhere fun to go? I went out of town Friday night and stayed home for New Years....I know....party pooper right? :-) Well , I like staying at home now a days! I always have cards to made :-)

Isn't this a gorgeous inspiration picture? WOW gorgeous!! I've always wanted to play along and I finally am :-) Could someone come decorate my house like this? :-) I miss having a 2 story house for the sake of a garland up the stairway...but I don't miss the stairs lol

For my card I used Papertrey's Stocking Prints Stamp set. I started by using the matching die to cut them out, then I stamped them. after stamping them I ran the boots thru my Zyron to add sticky glue to the front for my glitter. It's so much easier and the glitter sticks great ! The paper is Noverber 2011 Accessory sheet

I'm going to, but I'm not getting up and three in the morning to go this year...that's not for me :-) Well I think I'll start off my morning with tree decorating and Christmas music :-) Have a wonderful day! Just poppin in with a quick gift bag I made with Echo Park :-)

A a few weeks ago on a trip to Sac...on the way home I stopped in a small little town called Oroville and went into this cute little shoppe called Mary Lake Thompson ...I didn't know it at the time but she was on Oprah and is one of Oprah's top store picks...Anyway I saw this sweet shabby antiqued clock and had to have it for my kitchen :-) So I went back there this last weekend as the factory where they make their products was having a holiday sale and their tea towels were 2 for $1.00 normally about 13.00 a piece I think ( Which is ...out of my price range :-) . They will make great presents and the best part?? It's every year!!! Here's a sample of a few towels that I got.

And here's a picture of my clock :-) I have the perfect place for it :-)

The girls wanted to go to the ocean for Jasmine's Birthday...so John and Kim took them. They went over to Trinidad. Wanted to share some pics...I haven't in awhile and they are getting so big :-( Jasmine just turned 5 and Liberty turned three in July :-)

Hi! Happy Sunday! This week's Pretty Palette's challenge is to use these colors :-) I hope you have time to play along :-)

And I have to tell you that I was challenged this week lol :-) Which is a great thing!!

On my card I used a bit of Crate paper and Ga GA for Gingham I love gingham and this collection is fantastic!! And you can find the tree this tree I used here Happy Hallows . I colored it in with my woodless pencils and copics combined. The frame is from the Crate paper "Random" collection

Hi! A happy Monday to you! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? Or started making Christmas cards yet? How many of you make your own Christmas cards? I have to confess that I just don't have the time....I send a few out and that's about it :-( Seeing this beautiful inspiration picture this week has me in the Christmas spirit! Isn't it gorgeous?? I hope you can play along this week as the lucky winner will receive 2 templates from Creations by AR and I love these gorgeous templates!

This week's challenge is to :

Create a card and/or project with a holiday theme and using the colors from inspiration photo.

The template I chose is called Bag It and it's really a great size bag for your gift giving and went together very quick and simple! I will be making more of these :-)

I used my favorite Crate paper peppermint collection and a digital image from Bety's shop. The tinsel ribbon is from my fav scrapbook store (Paradise Scrapbook Boutique)

It's time for another Pretty Palette color challenge from My Time Made Easy.

I just love this week's color challenge! And the adorable penguin :-) I used Perky Lil Penguin and Mrs Candy Claus. The paper is this is so cute!! And the candy canes are so versatile! I layered glittered netting over the card and used my copics to color this little guy in :-)

Hi Friends! It's time for a new Shabby Tea Room Challenge! This week I'm the shabby Hostess and I choose this inspiration picture for this week's challenge

For this card I used Tom Turkey! from Robynsfetish I paper pieced him, and also colored him in with some woodless pencils. The paper is a little Prima and some Bella Blvd Trim,, and a bit of MME. I love mixing papers! I cut the white trim with my Cricut and used hooray-clear-stamps for the banner.

And the ink I used is Jenni Bowlin...LOVE this ink!!! I added a bit of paint around the outer edge of cardstock.

Hi there! I was so excited when I got a fun E-mail a few weeks ago inviting me to join My Time Made Easy Pretty Palette DT!!! I have always loved MTME Templates and now I get to play with their papers and digital stamps Yeah!!!! This is my 1st challenge :-)

Pretty Palette Challenge! Here's my card...

I used Beautiful Baubles for my card. I LOVE this set as it has so many adorable ornament stamps on it and I LOVE the sentments!! I paper pierced the ornament with some Crate paper and Glittered it up. And added some stickle dots. The card has some MME paper and some Authentique paper also.

On another note........

My daughter and I took a little ride up to Ashland Oregon just for the day to see the Beautiful trees. I'm sure I've told you before that Ashland is near and dear to my heart. I wasn't sure if the trees were turning but we went anyway...It's only a two hour drive....But with my daughter driving more like 1 hour 30 minutes lol!! But in her defense she has a new Nissan Altuma and it didn't feel like we were going fast at all :-). Anyway, Fran from Frantic stamper allowed me to place an order at her on line store and pick it up in Medford!! And she gave me a tour to boot!! She has a big online store like 2 peas or scrapbook.com and it was SO much fun to see all that scrapbook goodness in one place! I told her she could leave me in there overnight and I'd be in heaven!! Thanks Fran!!!

Aren't these trees magnificent?? I was in my glory! And driving Thur the park right in the middle of the road was this little guy!! His parents were on the side of the road eating grass :-)

And this is just 1 of the duck ponds in Lithia Park . This park is spectacular!!!

I can't believe that it's November already...the years keep going faster and faster :-(.. Happy Halloween today! What are your plans?

Hi! Just popping in to share a Halloween card. This cute little Halloween kit is from Michelle Coleman. She used to have a web-site called Little Dreamers. The on-line store closed awhile ago and this month she opened it back up. For $5.00 I got the whole digital kit and it continues every month. This kit is only available for the month of October. I'm not usually a digital girl but I'm a big fan of Michelle's. I printed out the elements and cut them out. Very simple. The paper is Echo Park and the circle spider web is from Martha Stewart.

Today was Think Pink and I wanted to share a few pictures of the day :-)

And this picture I found on our web page...probably from last year but soooooo gorgeous!!! Tonight was the lighting of the bridge, but I had other plans, so going tomorrow night.

This is a picture of the front of the building where I work. The news cameras are there and alot of the employees are dressed in pink and lined up along the street passing out bags with a carnation and breast cancer awareness info to cars that pull up along the curb. Every year we pass out 40,000 or so bags to the community. I'm not sure how many bags were passed out this year. I'm very proud to work at a facility that cares so much about the community and Breast Cancer.

This week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room is to Create a card/project using the colors in the inspiration photo and one dry embossed element.

For the embossing on my card I used these Leaves from Classy Cards And Such, this week's wonderful sponsor! :-). And for the winner this week Beverly is giving away a $15.00 gift certificate in her shop!!!

I ran the embossing folder thru my Cuttlebug and inked up my sponge and lightly hit the top of the design with the ink. I used some yellow and then came back around with Orange. The papers are a mix of Crate and MME.

Birthday Grinch

A little history......My ringtone on my phone for my boss is "Your a mean one Mr. Grinch" a joke between us :-) Well, his 50 birthday is next Monday and I've been teasing him horribly lol!!He isn't taking turning 50 very well and when I saw these on pinterest I HAD TO MAKE ONE for him...I just changed the picture to what's approprite for me and off you go! CR84FN Color Challenge

Hi and happy Wednesday!!

CR84FN is having a beautiful color challenge and I'm so happy I get to play this week.

Here's my take on the color challenge. I used some yummy Crate Paper and some Pink Paislee Mistables that I inked with some yellow and orange. The leaves are from Tiffany Doodles - Fall is here The leaves were super easy to do. I put some yellow, brown, and orage ink on my craft mat and sprayed with a bit of water, then I ran the leaves over the ink and let dry. The ribbon is hand dyed.

CITY CRAFTER CHALLENGE WEEK 74...I "HEART" YOU!

This week over on the City Crafter Challenge Blog, the challenge is to incorporate hearts into your project !! I LOVE hearts!! What an adorable picture Cheryl picked out too! :-)

For this challenge I used Bella Blvd called "Finally Fall". I have to say that Fall is my favorite time of the year. Although, it's still 90 here, the mornings and the evenings cool down and the air is crisp and clean I love it!! In about a month I'm going to a town in Oregon called Ashland, and I am getting so excited! They have the prettiest fall trees and the town is so beautiful!!

Well, how time flies when you're having fun!! Sadly we will be saying goodbye to two of our Shabby Girls in a couple weeks when the current term comes to an end. The happy news is that we're looking for {new talent} to join the Shabby Girls for our weekly challenges!

This Design Team Call will run from 12:00 am EST Monday, August 22nd through 11:59 pm EST Sunday, September 4th. The two new Shabby Girls will be contacted on Monday, September 5th and the announcement of the new team members will be made on Sunday, September 12th. The two new Shabby Girls will officially begin on Monday, September 19th.

How to submit your application:

1. Send a picture of your completed card or project to me at deb4tasteful@earthlink.net as an e-mail ATTACHMENT.

2. Send your complete name, address, phone, e-mail address and blog address.

3. Include a brief bio about yourself to include how long you've been paper crafting, what inspires you with your paper crafting and what are your favorite paper crafting mediums ... ie: cards, layouts, altered art, 3-D projects.

4. Send your resume to include any design teams you are currently participating on as well as any past positions. Please also include any publications you have earned. {A past or present design team position is not a requirement to earn a spot here with the Shabby Girls, we just want to know your experience level.}

5. Let us know why you want to be a Shabby Girl!!!

Our challenge this week from our Shabby Hostess Pattie, is to :

Create a card/project using your birthstone color somewhere in your project!

My Birthstone is a Ruby and I'm on the cusp of a Leo and Cancer.

I stamped some paper with Your a Jewel stamps several times and embossed them with clear embossing powder. After that was done I inked over the stamped images with different colored inks and used my star punch to make stars! I love the texture and feel of the stars. The paper is a mish mosh of Crate paper, MME, Simply stories, and a Papertrey woodgrain stamp.

I just love this cute little schoolhouse. It's complete with a bell tower! When I was in the 9th grade I wrote for the school paper (you couldn't tell now lol)! And I discovered that we had a bell tower that I hadn't known was there. I did a story on it, and thought it was so cool that I got to climb the stairs and see it up close :-)

I am So EXCITED and HONORED to be a Guest Designer today for pencillines if you haven't visited their challenge blog you are in for a BIG treat!! They have so many talented designers and so much inspiration !!I love to visit and look at all the inspiration !!!! As you know, I am more of a card maker then anything else, but you can always adapt any sketch to a card!!! Here's my interpretion of this week's sketch done on a card :-) Thank You Anna! :-)

I used my favorite paper...Crate and the adorable Butterfly is from Marianne's. I cut it out, embossed it, drybrushed it with Creme paint, sanded it and inked...I put that poor butterfly through just about everything lol!!

Hi Friends! I hope your having a wonderful week so far? This summer seems to be flying by, and it's not just me, I've heard it from everyone lol! But secretly I'm so glad because fall is my favorite time of the year. I love how the air is cooler and fresh and the trees start turning pretty colors and I love lighting my candles and the smell of them throughout the house :-) I think I have enough candles to last a lifetime and I keep buying more lol :-)

Well, I have a quick card to share today...I know It's not even close to Christmas....but I got this new Unity Stamp in the mail called "25 Days of Christmas" when I saw it I was hooked on the cute little banner with the Santa and other cute images :-) The Santa is from Papertrey and the December calendar is also in the Unity Set.

Boy, I would love to have some of those double tea pots in the back....so cute!!!

Here's my take :-) The frame under the Tea Pot is from Robyn's Fetish and it's called Ornate Frame I paper pieced it with some LYB paper . The backround paper is also LYB. The little flower is Webster's Pages...I love these flowers!!! The Tea Pot is Papertrey and the sentiment on the tea pot is also papertrey. It had a circle around it and it wouldn't fit on the tea pot, so I inkes the image and wiped off the ink on the cirle and it fir perfectly! :-)

August Challenge at Tiffany Doodles!!

Hi Sweet Blogging Friends!!

My 1st DT assignment at Tiffany Doodles!! I love printing and coloring with my digital images :-). There are so flexible! You can either coloring them in, or paper piece them!!! If you haven't tried it....give it a go it's fun!!!

This month's Challenge at Tiffany Doodles is to make a card with Kraft Paper! I used Tiffany's cute little Crab . I cut the tree with my Cricut and the sun is Pink Paislee (Hometown Collection)

Hi sweet bloggers :-) I hope your week is going great! For me, it's gone really fast!!Yeah!!!

It is official! I am a new member of the Tiffany Doodles design team! I am lucky enough to get to play with tons of digital images that are so awesome... Check it out at Tiffany Doodles . There are images for everyone...my style is cutsie stamps ..but I may have to try my hand at serious :-) !!....all shapes and styles! The New August challenge will be coming soon so be on the lookout.... Also, some fab sales going on this month so check them out too! Images as low as $1... !! For those new to digital images, don't be scared... I was at first, but with being on the Shabby Tea Room DT I had challenges to use these adorable images and coloring is so popular now getting the designs right away is instant gratification for me lol!!... Talk about fun and user friendly... Digital images allow you the flexibility of changing the size of your image!, so many options... :-) Tiffany also has tutorials that show you how simple it is!! Thanks Tiffany!!! :-)

I always want to play along with all the challenges out there in blog land, but I always have time restrictions :-( This week I have lots of time and I have a ton of Unity's Kit of the month stamps :-), so...this month's challenge was perfect!

Here's the challenge : Take out ANY Unity Kit of the Month and make a card or other stamped project (card or other stamped project) based on the sketch above.

I used August Kit of the Month for this card. I paper pieced the owl and inked the birds in the background to make patterned paper. The sentiment and heart are also in the kit :-) Pretty simple sketch and you know me! Pile on the embellies lol!! This is as simple as I go lol!!!

Miss Liberty's B'Day!!

WOW!!!!! I can't believe that my sweet grandaughter is three today! Where does the time go?? Jasmine will be 5 next month, that THAT is scary!!! lol

I went to every scrapbook store on the way to Brooking at the start of my vacation to find this paper and NO one had it...I felt like a scrapbook store stocker lol!!! I stopped at 2 in Medford, OR, 1 in Eagle Point, 1 in Grants Pass, and 1 in Eureka , I went to the one in Brookings also lol!! I need one of those Bumper Stickers....This car stops at ALL scrapbook stores :-) I finally ordered it online :-)

I just love this line and it's bright colors :-)

Right before I left on vacation I joined a swap over at City Crafter and received my package the day before I left. I didn't have time to take pictures of the package that Kirsty sent me and then when I got home I had a broken toe so....needless to say I couldn't take pictures of all my goodies!!! I've never done a swap before and talk about FUN!!! Here is some of the wonderful goodies that Kirsty sent!!! Thanks Kirsty!!!

I received this handmade box SO CUTE!!!!, with postcards, a handmade ATC card, ribbons, stamps, glitter, so many wonderful goodies!! OMG look at the precious Postcard with a tiny scroll wrapped around a tag with a rose, and those little vials of glitter and that adorable ATC card Kirsty made! :-)

And these cute dessert cards.... Cute!!

And look how she wrapped these cute homemaker cards!! I'm afraid that I'm not that talented in the presentation area :-)

I went for a drive today... and wound up here.

And on the way back to Bookings I stopped at all the viewpoints lol! It was so so windy...my pictures aren't very good

A slice of Heaven

I'm still on vacation but wanted to pop in and share a little of the Oregon Coast with you. The lighthouse is in Crescent City. That is where the small aftershock from Japan hit with a Tsunami a few months ago. I didn't go to the harbor where all the damage was. I ran out of time, but hopefully will go back on the way home. The picture with the boats is the Harbor in Brookings, They had a little damage but all was repaired. I didn't see and damage, although I was told some boats sank. They had the fireworks down at the harbor. The Pelican's have been hanging out in the ocean in front of our house! I love them. No whales or seals :-( but I still have until Sunday so we will see :-)

The Oregon Coast.

A little card I made for fun. :-) I went to the local scrapbook store and had over $100.00 in my cart and when she rang me up she had me pick a paper out of a bucket for how much of a discount I would get . and I picked the paper with the prettiest color lol...anyway it was 40% off my whole purchase...did I score of what?? I pretty much got my Ink pads for free!! Yeah!!

The beautiful doily at the bottom is an antique one I found on one of my excurations to antique shops. I thought it was a great shape and looked like the 1/2 circle flag that I love. Hi Friends! And a Happy Saturday to you! I was cleaning today and trying to organize my (small) amount of cards I've made (NOT) lol!!, and realized I never posted this one..

This card was made with the beautiful Webster's Pages paper. I added a transparency over the top added a butterfly and their cute buttons...super quick and easy. I opted to leave off a sentiment because I didn't think it needed one. What do you think?

HI Friends!! I hope your having a fantastic week! It's officially hit HOT here...102 today and I'm hating it. My friends always say they can't wait for the heat, then complain that it's to hot lol!! I think they forget just how hot Redding gets :-) Anyway, I've been staying out of the heat and making cards :-)

City Crafter Challenge # 61 ATC

Hi Friends!! WOW can you believe it's Wednesday already? It went from in the 60's last week and actually cold at night to 98 today Yikes it's HOT!!!! I have to admit I'm not a fan of the heat...once it gets over 100 it's all over for me lol :-) But that's O.K. because in 2 short weeks I will be at the cool coast of Oregon for 9 days yeah!!!

I visited City Crafter's Blog and they are having some wonderful challenges...This week's Challenge is to make an ATC card. For those of you who don't know what an ATC card is ...here's the description:

1. They should be 2.5" x 3.5" in size, the same size as a playing card

and if you read the instructions here you have the option of trading your card for someone elses!!! How fun is that??

I used an ATC sized cardstock and the tag underneath is from House of Three which I'm sorry to say is no longer :-(...the top tag is from Bety I can't get enough of these digital papers and tags :-)

The paper is from Bety I love this digital paper :-) and the little girl is October Afternoon. The sentinment is Papertrey Ink as are the clouds. I paper pieced the kite.

Papertrey Anniversary set

I received this wonderful set in the mail for a Thanks from Papertrey . I love getting these anniversary sets! The little girl is October Afternoon. I colored her with woodless pencils and stamped the backround with Papertrey Text Style stamps and stamped over that with the Anniversary Stamp set
