You're a friend like no one elf

Hi Friends! Well 9 days until Christmas, everyone ready? I did the majority of my shopping online this year. It was definitely better then fighting the crowds, but I still did some of that too! It wouldn't be Christmas without that part right? lol

While I still had some of those trees colored from the last card I decided to use them! I had the elf made already to. Do you make stuff and put it aside to make something at a later date? I try and do something creative every day, and I've learned that if I'm not creative one day I will at least sit down and color something. That way I still feel like I've accomplished something! Anyway, I think I added a few to many sequins as I can't see his cute feet lol!

The elf is just adorable! I love the fluffs of snow! Yes, I color or doodle when I'm not in the mood to make cards. I find that if I don't practice with the coloring, I lose 'the touch'. If I work with the zigs watercolor, then when I go back to the copics, my first effort is not all that good. Seems I can't switch mediums well. I wish a most Merry Christmas for you & your family. Prayers that 2016 will be a wonderful year for all of you as well. It's been lovely getting to know you through Blogland. Big hugs. TFS

I'm now terrified that Christmas is so close and have done NONE of my shopping, made no cards and have zero motivation to fight the malls...LOL...Help!!! I do however have 5 trees decorated and it looks like winter vomited on and in our house, so there's that... I'm hoping that I'll awake this week with a detailed and easily obtainable list for all members of my family and if not, there's always eggnog!
Thanks for letting me take this little box on your blog to vent. I feel much better now and suffice it to say, I am cheered and inspired by your beautiful card. I love that you do something crafty every day!!
Hugs and Have a very Merry Christmas.

Char, you've placed your darling elf in a most charming wintry wonderland! I want to give your card a shake to see the snow flutter! I do have a couple of images coloured, ready for a 'down-the-road' card...and it's something I need to do more often. Colouring truly is delightful therapy, giving me a sense of accomplishment no matter how small or seemingly insignificant it may seem to someone else. At the moment, I have a few little Santas awaiting their turn in the spotlight!

I always admire how you put elements together & this one is a perfect example of your talent--not to mention the deer is pink which is my favorite color! Stay safe & dry and have a lovely holiday. I love these new, little sequins! The combination of the big and little work so well together, and I bet they move, to show off those cute feet, with just the tip of the hand. Another, darling scene, love! Hope your Christmas has been blessed!
