Congrats

Hi Friends! Just checking in :-). I'm still waiting for a surgeon to call me to schedule my surgery. The 1st one my doctor referred me to has retired and apparently he didn't know it. So waiting for the second one to call. Meanwhile I'm eating about 12 grams of fat a day and that eliminates the attacks thank goodness!

I went into my craft room and played a little this weekend. It felt weird after not making cards for about three weeks and I'm surprised that it felt so weird.  (What's with that! )  Anyway,  I started by water coloring the background and stamping some PTI Butterflies. I basically took vellum and covered the front and  stitched it around except the top. I added the sequins before stitching up the top. I embossed the sentiment on more vellum, then I added the frame around it, some washi tape and that's it.

I hope your having a great week! Hugs, Char

It is funny how rusty you get after not crafting for awhile, isn't it? But wow, it sure doesn't show, my friend! This is gorgeous! I love the color to this and love the shaker! And the butterflies are stunning! Love, LOVE it!
Hope you get your surgery scheduled soon. But in the mean time, so glad you are feeling better! :)

This is beautiful! The colors are really lovely.

I'm so sorry to hear about your gallbladder acting up. That stinks. Unbearable pain, wasn't it? had mine removed about a year ago. You'll be so glad to get that thing out of there.

Hang in there!

Oh what a beauty, Char! May have felt funny to be crafting again, but looks like you didn't miss a beat! Hope the surgery can be scheduled soon so you can get well!

I get that it felt weird. When I went away last fall it was about three weeks between making cards and it was like, what do I do? As you say, weird. HOWEVER, having said that, I did NOT proceed to create anything as breath-stopping as this soft and ethereal beauty! So that's a faux shaker and explained so well! How cool is that?! Your colored background is phenomenal!

I hope you get your surgery scheduled soon, Char. In the meantime, I'm glad that restricting the fats is keeping the pain away. I imagine it would be nice to put it all behind you and I wish you all the best!

BTW, are you finding that the poppies and the lupine are out in FULL force right now because of our strange weather? It's really stunning in the hills around here. The whole valley is bright yellow with mustard! Hugs, Darnell

Isn't it strange how a break in crafting leaves us feeling weird, once returning to it? I've had that plenty of times, too.

Your card is just so sweet and beautiful, Char. :)

I do hope all is going smoothly on the health front. Prayers!
