City Crafter challenge Bake Sale!

Hi! and a Happy Tuesday  to you! Do you have any fun plans for labor day? I was thinking of taking off this Friday to make a 4 day weekend but don't have any plans yet.

I had some Pink Paislee paper and some October Afternoon  Modern Homemaker paper I hadn't used yet and since it was baking themed, it was perfect! The label and stamped sentiment is from Papertrey. The pink polka dot in the background is from creativepapertrail I love her digital paper! Her paper  comes in pastels, and  polka Dots, Gingham, cute monsters etc...to sweet! Check it out!

Just a quick card made with MME and a bit of Crate.

Not to be a downer but the smoke and heat are horrible here. Here's the latest news on it. LA Times apparently its hit the national news. Makes me so sick to my stomach for all those people and animals. They said hopefully it will be out by the 27th. I pray!

Anyway, I tell my daughter when shes down in the dumps which was yesterday...to smile and shrug off the little stuff and to confront the big stuff, but to always try and  smile! I know it always makes me feel better, so this one's for her :-) Have a wonderful day! Hugs, Char

City Challenge "Washi Tape"

One of my favorite things to play with lately is Washi Tape! I love the fact that if you make a mistake it comes right off....now your taking lol!!!

 

So, I was excited to see Ros pick this fun challenge this week! For this challenge I laid a bunch of tape on a sheet of paper and used a Papertrey die to cut the frame, and I love the way this frame turned out! So colorful, and skies the limit on what you can do with this tape. I found a few DIY Washi and must try it!!

Good morning friends! I hope that you had a wonderful weekend? Mine was to short as always. Were having horrible fires in the north state and it's terrible because the town I grew up in is being evacuated . The town is called Shingletown and it's in the mountains with lots of beautiful pine trees. Please keep all those families in your thoughts and prayers that they stay safe and their homes survive. I always worry about all the wildlife too!

 Just a simple card today, using up some older supplies. The daisy is from Martha Stewart and the paper is Studio Calico. I cut the card base with my Silhouette and the flower frame is a die from Papertrey Ink. The stamp set is MME, from "The sweetest thing ". I love MME stamps and they are priced resonable too!

My card today showcases   Sophie and Mahalo

This little sweetie is named Sophie and I love this little Mahalo set!  Check out those little thongs cute right? I cut out the wave with my Silhouette Cameo and added some little hearts from Papertrey below. The paper is Websters.

Last weekend the girls came over and we have a sleepover !! We had a blast !! We watched movies, drew, colored, make necklaces, a crafty weekend for sure! The next morning we got up and the girls wanted to make a card. Jasmine wanted to make a school one for her little cousin and Liberty spotted the cute little bunny p.j.'s  stamp and since they have a bunny she HAD to use that one lol! The girls made these cards all on their own, all I did was cut out the little girls for them :-) Jasmine said she wants to be an artist when she grows up ! A proud grandma moment lol!!!

Here's Destiny(daughter) and the girls. She came over for a short visit. You can't tell but it was about 108 on Saturday and the transformer blew where she lived and she had a date, so, off to Mom's to use her blow dryer and straightener lol! LOVE my girls!!!

City Crafter Challenge Week 122!

Hi! Happy Tuesday! I want to start off with saying a big THANK YOU to Kirsty of city crafter challenge blog for inviting me to be part of her DT!! I am honored and look forward to designing with her wonderfully creative girls there each week!

This weeks challenge by Cheryl  is : That’s a Fabrication (have to have fabric as part of your project)

For my card I used one of my favorite materials, but one I don't use much, burlap! I need to make a note to self to use more often!

 The paper I used is Basic Grey "Clippings" and that big ol' button is from an antique store and it's very old! This card has a pocket on the front.

City Crafters Challenge week #121 Let's do it again

Oh what fun I had playing with the challenge at City Crafter !! This week DT Linda Robinson  decided to play with an image from graphicsfairy . I hadn't heard of this blog before my friend Audrey told me about it! It's got alot of really cool vintage images!! So, I was excited when City Crafter had a challenge with one of their images!!!

 This card is made with Papertrey's new frames, LOVE them! the paper is Basic Grey (Clippings ), and the polka dotted stamp is a big background stamp from  Impression Obsession inked with Papertrey Harvest Gold.

Hi sweeties! Hope you had a great weekend!! I received some new paper this weekend and had some time to make some cards. I spent the rest of the weekend cleaning as I'm having the girls over for a slumber Party this weekend yeah!! And  Sunday is my niece's baby shower. Seems like yesterday I remember her being born. and now she's having a baby.WOW!!!  This is my niece that was born on my Birthday. Should be a fun and busy weekend!

I used "The Sweetest Thing " paper by MME on this card. I love MME, always have. Is it just me or do the new papers come out so fast I can't get them all before more new one's are on the market? Maybe I'm just
slow lol!

The Birthday Princess :-) I think she enjoyed her Rice Crispy cake don't you?

Kim made a Rice Crispy Bunny Cake. I thought it was pretty ingenious and how the heck did she gets those rice crispies to mold into a bunny? I forgot to ask :-)

 And here's the Minnie Mouse picture (Work of art) that Jasmine made me for my Birthday! I need to iron it, and them frame it!!

I guess that's about it for now. I've just been taking some time to myself this summer and relaxing, not making to much, but I finally got my Scrapbook Room organized and it's so nice to know what I have and it feels good to create again in a clean room...I've been very good and cleaning after each thing I make. I never want that kind of explosion again lol!!!

Paper Sweetie's Sneak peek!

Welcome! Well here we are , the day is  finally here that my sweet friend Debbie Marcinkiewicz debuts her adorable stamps!!!  This is a dream of hers and I am so honored to be part of her inaugural  DT!! This has been a long time coming and I am so happy for her!!  So please help me in giving Debbie a warm congrats !!! And here is my 1st of many cards made with Paper Sweetie stamps that will be shown thru out the month. This little cutie's name is Abigail. I paper pieced her and stamped the hat with Jenni Bowlin Speckled Egg (One of my favorite colors) . The paper is from Bety's shop . I added a sweet felt  flower to her hat.

I hope you love Debbie's new stamp's as much as I do! These sweetie stamps have an array of choices for everyone with adorable dolls and  hundreds of clothing options and accessories; all the sentiments you could ever ask for, and lots of fun!!! I am looking forward to getting my grandaughter's to stamp. I'm sure they will love these sweeties!!
