Weekend

Hi Friends! I've been a slacker on blogging. I took a 4 day weekend and spent time with these precious girls! There are growing in leaps and bounds. I had some play time, picture time, and cuddle time....life doesn't get any better! :-) I've also been making alot of projects for Crate but can't share yet . I went to see two movies, spent three hours cleaning the kitchen, went antiquing and that's about it. Next weekend I will be at a retreat teaching scrap booking..It's a hard job I tell ya....but someones gotta do it lol!

Jasmine will be 6 in August

And Liberty will be 4 in July

My dear daughter is going on a missions trip to Mexico and I have to admit, I'm a little worried. She can't bring a cell phone so I hope they have a pay phone where she's going so she can at least call me to say she ,arrived safety!

I made this simple card for her since I won't be in town when she leaves on Saturday . I wrote inside on how proud I am of her as an adult she is a complete joy, and honest person, caring and so well rounded. She just can't seem to find that one special guy Ug!!'

I hope you're having a wonderful week! See you soon! Char

Moxie Fab Gingham Challenge

WOW does time fly...I cant believe that it's been almost a week since I've posted. It's one of those weeks where I'm so busy and couldn't seem to find the time to fit an extra card in, but last night I stayed up late to make one. As you can tell, I received my monthly Papertrey purchase and was excited to dig into it! Alot of stamping on this card. The only thing that isn't stamped is the yellow gingham. I truly love their new chicken wire background stamp. I used Kraft ink to stamp it.

I love gingham, so I decided to do another card for Moxie Fab World's Gingham challenge! I hope you have, or had time to join in the fun? Here's the link gingham-challenge. I believe that it goes until June 4th!!

What are your plans for Memorial Day? I am staying home. Maybe go for a drive one day, shopping, a movie, crafting....relaxing yeah!!! I have 4 wonderful days off!! Whatever your plans are be safe!!

Thanks for stopping by! Char

Glad we're friends

Hey There!

Just poppin in with a quick card to share today. I thought I'd experiment and use the re-inkers with the white embossing powder. I like the white embossing, but let's just say, I realize it's the watercolor look, but when things run out of the lines it bugs me :-) !! I need more practice at being carefree and messy lol!!

I hope your having a great week! Char

Pretty as a picture challenge

Hi and Happy Monday!

Monday? Already sheezzzzzz!!!!!! Where does the time go? I did get some R&R this weekend that was much needed. I was so crabby this weekend I couldn't even stand myself lol! Do you ever feel that way? And the funny thing is I don't even know why!Must have been those pesky hormones!

Anyway, I managed to make a card for The Shabby Tea Room challenge this week. I can't seem to put down "Pretty Party" . It is soooooo my style of colors, design, etc...I LOVE it, and it makes me happy!!!

Here is the gorgeous inspiraration picture. I just LOVE it!

I did some fussy cutting on the top of the card. The pink roses and the leaves. I felt it needed some demention.

I hope you were able to scrap for NSD? And if so, did you join in any challenges? I didn't stay and crop at my favorite scrapbook store, but I did stop in to see Christie. She drove all the way down from Idaho . I'm sure it was to go to the crop, but also to see her adorable new nephew ! Congrats Christie!!! And Karen (the store owner) gave me a wonderful tray(ideas running thru my head!) and a box with the cutest flower on top! She is so talented !! Thanks Karen!

Well girls, here's to another great week! And hoprfully I will be in a better mood lol!  Hugs, Char

Hi! I hope you're having a wonderful week? I'm sorry I've been a bad blogger lately. I've been so busy!! You know the feeling right? :-)

I'm using up some old paper October Afternon paper that I dearly love and don't want to depart with :-) The  boat template it from thecuttingcafe . They have some really fun card templates!

Remember last weekend I was going to a Birthday Party for the kids with serious illnesses? It was so heartwarming and I wanted to share a video that the paper did. You can see it Matt Farley Reverse Birthday Party.

I'll be gone this weekend for some much needed R&R. So I will leave you with this funny that I found by Nicole Humphrey

Scrapbook Funnies: The Scrapbooker's 12 Step Program

Rearrange all your scrapbook supplies in your area so that there is no room to put anymore stuff in without having to buy new organization. (This dosen't seem to stop me) !

Always wear clothes with pockets when leaving home in case you should end up at a local scrapbook store or other craft store - this is so that you'll always have a place to keep your hands at all times - this ensures that you will not handle the pretty papers and play with all the fun tools. Might want to keep a washcloth in there too, to wipe up any drool that accumulates from your wishful thinking.

Never, ever, ever, obey the request of a sales lady to "Feel free to try out the different scrapbook tools!" Crops can be bad too. That's where some of my greatest, UNUSED tools stemmed from!

Never make eye contact with a sales lady. Never look directly at the papers.

Always take your spouse or a friend with you if you can't resist going to a local scrapbook store or craft outlet, they can remind you that you don't need anymore supplies!!

Never pick up or subscribe to a scrapbook trade magazine. This can be hazardous to your health, and the health of your family. They may look innocent, but the magazines are full of the newest supplies and they WILL call out to you! Before you know it, you will have all those products sitting there collecting dust! (hmmmm like my bind it all) Never have used it!

Do not look at all your supplies before leaving the house as they will remind you that you don't have the latest and greatest trendy stuff!

Don't dress poorly in hopes that store owners won't trust your check or credit card, Scrapbooker's are typically honest people and it won't work! Many of us just don't dress that great every time we leave the house because we are mothers, wives and busy all the time! This is not a good method!

Do not rely on prayer alone to help as, God loves memories too. After all, He is the creator of many!

Promise yourself that you will look at every patterned paper before buying any. This may slow you down a bit. And make the decision a little harder!

Never, ever touch a computer and especially not one that connects to the Internet! There are all kinds of scrapbooking websites and online stores in there just waiting for you.

If all fails, run home immediately, and create a layout using what you already have!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day on Saturday!!
