A Crate Magnetic refridgerator memo holder

Hi There!!! I hope your having a wonderful week? I'm so happy the weather gods  decided 91 was to hot for April and came back down to a reasonable 82! We went from 70 to 91 in 1 day and WOW it was hot this last weekend! But, to hot for me as we hadn't acclimated yet :-)

This week,  Crate Paper thought it might  be fun as a focus feature for this month's "CP Creative Weekly", to focus on  Pretty Party's beautiful Blue Bird!!  This sweet bird captures the delight of just about every person she meets. and she is the perfect shade of eggshell blue. ( One of my absolute favorite colors) So, they put the DT to the challenge of finding her a home, layouts, cards, boxes, wherever...

So, for my project, I thought that I would make a refrigerator magnet  with a paper tablet underneath for times when I need that scratch paper and can't find any :-) The original design if from a  Tree List Holder I cut it out with my Silhouette and adapted it to fit the paper I had.

"If you could find a home for Crate Paper's Blue Bird, where would it be?"

Be sure and stop by Crate Paper's  blog to leave a comment on this question by:  Today, 8:00pm Central Time - for a change to win some gorgeous Pretty Party Paper!!! Good Luck :-)

Hugs! Char

Happy Friday!!

Hi girls! Happy Friday!!! Well, believe or not I'm almost done with the scrapbook room! I don't always have time every day, so I've been doing a bit every nite. It's looking clean! As a matter of fact when it's done i will be afraid to dirty it up lol!!

A friend of mine asked me to make 29 or so cards for a children birthday party. The kids in question are all terminally ill. And the concept behind it is a little boy, age 10 passed away last month from cancer and his B'day would have been this month. So, his parents decided to have a big party for the other kids to celebrate life!. And I'm sure to help them heal :-) I could NOT imagine losing a child. So, I posted a help board on 2 peas and scrapbook.com and the response was incredible!!! I have the cards I need for the party and they are from all over the U.S.and some from other countries! Luzma sent a bunch of cards from Chile and another sent some from Thailand and some from Texas,Florida, Wisconsin, Washington, North Carolina etc...the kids will LOVE them!! But, here's the (I'm losing my brain part).I forgot to post this on my blog!! Of all places to NOT post!! What do they say?? Of all the things I miss the most, I miss my brain!! lol . Anyway , A BIG THANK YOU to all my precious friends in the scrapbook community  that helped me with this party!!!! You don't know how much it means to me!! Stephanie even sent extras....some candy!!!

I will try and post pictures of the cards if I have time this weekend. Here's a little gift bag I made for a friend of mine whose down in the dumps, I hope this will brighten her day! I like how it turned out. Simple and springy!

A Storyteller Album

Hi Friends!

I hope your week is going great! The weather here is getting warmer. Today, it will be 70 and they are saying by Friday it will be 90!...Now, I'm definitely NOT ready for 90 but love the cooler, nice weather!

Jasmine had a soccer game last weekend  and scored 3 goals!! It started off bad lol! She was hit in the head and the tears  came, so she sat out that quarter, but when back in and played awesome!! Its so fun to see the improvement from one year to the next :-)

O.K. On to the subject at hand :-) This is a flag album I made for Crate Paper. The paper is exclusively Crate's Storyteller Collection!  As you can see it has many tags to decorate with. The map shaped like a heart was cut with my Silhouette , and so was the little card and the title.

I decided to make some tags in a different shape, so I took out my Papertrey dies and cut several tags out of the Half and Half Die Collection for fun!As you can see I constructed this album to have an accordion spine to fit the tags and then added the covers last. There are several variations of this album on the web. Just type in Flag book. I customized this one to fit the dimensions for the cover.

this little compass was purchased at The Green Tangerine's in Sacramento. They have quite the assortment of goodies for altering!

I hope you enjoyed, and have a great week! Hugs, Char

Happy Wednesday!!

Hi sweet blogging friends! I hope you had a wonderful Easter! I did :-)  My son and DIL got the girls a real bunny rabbit for Easter and it's so so cute!! My son says this bunny has a Tom Selek mustache lol! What do you think? Sorry the pics are bad, I was using my daughter's camera and couldn't figure out how to use it :-) We watched the girls hunt for easter eggs and they wanted us to hide them again so they could find them again lol We wound up hiding them three times. And jasmine was so cute! She noticed that Liberty didn't have as many as her ,so she shared. :-) Sisterly Love! lol!! Aren't they getting big? Jasmine will be 6 in Aug, and Liberty will be 4 in July. Time sure flies!

This card is another one I made with Heidi Swapp's newest line. I really love all the different colors in this line. And the stamp is from Papertrey Ink.

My friends mom passed away this week and she asked me to make a card for her. I think out of the hundreds of cards I've made this is my 1st sympathy card. I couldn't belive it!  I decided to make it nice and simple and used  Pink Paislee's Spring Jubilee line.

Have you girls checked out the stamp club from Cocoa Daisy? I joined this month ! I really love their stamps and it's resonable. They send you three stamps automacally every month. So for all you girls that love to stamp....or hoard them as I do lol!! Here's the enabling helpful :-) link Cocoa Daisy

Here's a picture of one of this month's stamp:

Take care and have a creative day!! Char

My Time Made Easy Pretty Palettes #55

Well, I didn't manage to get a card done last week for Pretty Palette's as I was sick. I'm still on antibotics for another week, and it's pure toture!!!but, I'm feeling alot better. Thans for the well wishes! :-) Happy Easter to all my friends!! I hope your Easter is filled with great family, friends and  beautiful weather! What are your plans today? I'm going to take an Easter basket to the grand kids and I can't wait to see them all dressed up!

This week's color challenge is Yellow, Craft and Red !

For my card I cut out a few of the hexagon squares with a Craft Knife and added red paper behind. I stamped the bee with Pink Paislee - Spring Jubilee Collection -  Very simple card for me lol! It's so hard to stop piling it on :-) Look, no buttons, no flowers,  only one single bit of twine. I must still be sick!!! lol :-)

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Char

April 04, 2012

Hi Friends! Happy Wednesday to  you!! Sorry I've been absent for a few....I've been fighting sinus problems as I wrote in the last post, and sure enough...it turned into a nasty sinus infection :-( I went to the doc on Friday and  got me some antibotics, and I'm on the mend!! :-)

I absolutely fell in love with the new Heidi Swapp paper and had to get some!! Of coarse no one had to twist my arm lol. The celebrate stamp is Papertrey Ink and the butterfly is Pink Paislee.

My son's birthday was on April Fools Day, so I went to see him and the grand kids. The girls want to come spent the night and I'm in the progress of cleaning the Scrapbook room still ( The sinus infection slowed me down), well the girls heard me telling my son that my daughter told me I am a scrapbook Hoarder. So about an hour later I was reading the girls a book and the three year old, Liberty, looked up at me with her big eyes and said....Grandma....I don't want you to be a hoarder lol!!!! And Jasmine said, you can come get us to stay the night and we will help you clean!! I thought it was so so cute!!! Out of the mouths of babes lol!!! So, I'd better get on it and finish!!!

I hope your having a wonderful week! I'm looking forward to seeing the girls on Easter! What are your plans?

Hugs, Char
