The Shabby Tea Room Challenge #103

Hi Friends! It's that time again, for another Shabby Tea Room Challenge :-)

This week our Shabby Hostess is Fran! And the  challenge is:

Create a card/project using Navy/blues & Neutrels with a distressed element

This has to be one of my favorite Inspirational photos to date! I absolutely LOVE it!!!
Our sponsor this week is Little Darlings Rubber Stamps and here's here's the image I had to work with  this week:-) Going for a ride The lucky winner will receive 1 stamp set!!!!

For this card I sanded the cardstock to distress. I stamped a few different images randomly. I know it's hard to see but at the bottom I stamped in a blue for a sutle look. then I started piling on the goodies :-)for  a collage look. I colored the image in with colored pencils and mineral spirits.

A Crate Paper Feature Focus "COLLAGE"

Hi Everyone! I hope your having a wonderful week? Crate Paper is having a five-day marathon of design team projects based on a topic/technique that takes to highlighting an ongoing crafty trend. This week they have centered on Collage. The feature will publish every month. Also, as a fun addition, each week,  Crate will host a giveaway as well!! The very last day, Lucky Friday, a winner will be randomly chosen from the day's comment pile. The winner will then be announced the following Monday. Stay tuned for further details - you don't want to miss out! Visit Crate paper's Blog to see the  Design Team 's inspiring projects :-)

For this card I did alot of fussy cutting, which is very relaxing for me. I cut 4 strips of different patterned paper for the background. I took a journal card from the Random collection and cut around the Zig Zag so I could add Different paper behind it for interest. Then I layered a collage grouping on top of the journal card and a fun little doily and brad on the side.

For this next card I used alot of the Random Collection . I also cut a Lace top tag with my Silhouette and sanded it to distress. I layered Random chipboard pieces on top for a collage look. I'm defiantly not a CAS card maker. When I'm designing a card I can't seen to stop piling on the embellies, so collage style works well for me! :-)

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a fantastic day! Hugs, Char

For You....Dear Lizzy

Hi sweet Blogging Friends! I hope your having a great day! I got the new Dear Lizzy line (Neopolitin) in and the colors are so so pretty! I got a bit messy with this card! I painted the card edges white and the top layer has watercolors on it. I distressed the edges and grunged it up! The doily is painted too :-)

Happy President's Day! :-) Hugs, Char

    Crate Paper Mini Album!

Hi friends! This is my 1st post for Crate paper and I couldn't be happier! I absolutely LOVE this line.....well, all their lines lol!! This month at Crate we are celebrating one of my favorite holidays...Valentines Day! And this is the perfect paper for that! I decided to make a heart mini album for my daughter. It has pictures of my granddaughters and her in it. She has a special bond with them and hopefully will love the album.

For my project I started off with a heart album from Kaiser Kraft, decorating the pages with Paper Heart Collection. I used lots of embellishments :-)

Here is a picture of my youngest granddaughter...Liberty

For this page I covered it with paper Hearts "Define Paper" and layered a doily. I popped the wording out of the frame added "Delivery"paper behind it. Paper Hearts Line

On this page I put down "Love Letter paper and sprayed Glimmer mist "Bubble Gum" over the top and them came along and sprayed Mister Huey's Calico White Mister on top of that, I hand-cut the banner with some various papers in the collection :-)

I started with cutting 1/4 inch strips of paper and glued them horizontal on the heart. Then I made a pocket out of Vellum and tucked a little heart in the pocket.

My three favorite girls! My daughter and granddaughters :-)

A big thanks for stopping by! I always so appreciate your visits :-) Hugs, Char
    Happy Creating!!
