Seriously............... IN LOVE!!!!!!!!! I received all the lines yesterday and I couldn't  decide which line to use 1st lol! Their paper and embellies are just lovely !!!!

Everything here is "Random" except the doily..it's Martha Stewart, and the ruler backround is Farmhouse. I made the flower with my Papertrey flower Die.

DT Call for The Shabby Tea Room!!

Just wanted to let you girls know The Shabby Tea Room is looking for a few new Design Team Members and this is the Final Week to get your cards/projects submitted :-)

Here's the lowdown :-)


Well, how time flies when you're having fun!! Sadly we will be saying goodbye to two of our Shabby Girls in a couple weeks when the current term comes to an end. The happy news is that we're looking for {new talent} to join the Shabby Girls for our weekly challenges!

If you love a challenge and are interested in applying to be a part of this fun little family, then read over all the requirements. If you feel you can meet all the requirements, then check out the details of this call at the end of this post and send in your submission!

REQUIREMENTS FOR OUR SHABBY GIRL DESIGNERS:


1. You must have a blog and be an active blogger!

2. You must speak fluent English!

3. You must create one card or project per week for our Monday challenges!

4. You must be willing and able to work with sponsor supplied products, including but not limited to digital images, digital papers, stamps, ribbons, templates and dies.

5. You must be willing to comment on our followers' weekly submissions. You will be assigned two numbers to comment on weekly -- there are no exceptions to this requirement!

6. You must be able to meet weekly deadlines, submit projects in a timely manner, have your blog posts go live in conjunction with our weekly challenges and link back to The Shabby Tea Room and to our weekly sponsors.

7. You must be able to commit to a six-month term with the Shabby Girls.

8. You must be able to create and host weekly challenges once every six weeks.

'Let's Have Tea'

Create a card or project inspired by the photo using pastels in blue, pink and yellow plus flowers!


This Design Team Call will run from 12:00 am EST Monday, August 22nd through 11:59 pm EST Sunday, September 4th. The two new Shabby Girls will be contacted on Monday, September 5th and the announcement of the new team members will be made on Sunday, September 12th. The two new Shabby Girls will officially begin on Monday, September 19th.

How to submit your application:

1. Send a picture of your completed card or project to me at deb4tasteful@earthlink.net as an e-mail ATTACHMENT.

2. Send your complete name, address, phone, e-mail address and blog address.

3. Include a brief bio about yourself to include how long you've been paper crafting, what inspires you with your paper crafting and what are your favorite paper crafting mediums ... ie: cards, layouts, altered art, 3-D projects.

4. Send your resume to include any design teams you are currently participating on as well as any past positions. Please also include any publications you have earned. {A past or present design team position is not a requirement to earn a spot here with the Shabby Girls, we just want to know your experience level.}

5. Let us know why you want to be a Shabby Girl!!!

The Shabby Tea Room Challenge #77

Hi! And welcome to The Shabby Tea Rooms Challenge #77 and I'm happy to say that our wonderful sponsor this week is Pink Persimmon!!! I have always love their stamps!! This week I am using Your a Jewel And I also Incorporated These cute little Scottie Dogs!

Our challenge this week from our Shabby Hostess Pattie, is to :

Create a card/project using your birthstone color somewhere in your project!

My Birthstone is a Ruby and I'm on the cusp of a Leo and Cancer.

I stamped some paper with Your a Jewel stamps several times and embossed them with clear embossing powder. After that was done I inked over the stamped images with different colored inks and used my star punch to make stars! I love the texture and feel of the stars. The paper is a mish mosh of Crate paper, MME, Simply stories, and a Papertrey woodgrain stamp.

Tiffany Doodles Friday Release!!

Do you have fun plans for the weekend? Most of your have kids that started back to school this week :-)And in honor of Back to School, Tiffany is coming out with this adorable digital set!

I just love this cute little schoolhouse. It's complete with a bell tower! When I was in the 9th grade I wrote for the school paper (you couldn't tell now lol)! And I discovered that we had a bell tower that I hadn't known was there. I did a story on it, and thought it was so cool that I got to climb the stairs and see it up close :-)

I am So EXCITED  and HONORED to be a Guest Designer today for pencillines if you haven't visited their challenge blog you are in for a BIG treat!! They have so many talented designers and so much inspiration !!I love to visit and look at all the inspiration !!!! As you know,  I am more of a card maker then anything else,  but you can always adapt any sketch to a card!!! Here's my interpretion of this week's sketch done on a card :-) Thank You Anna! :-)

I used my favorite paper...Crate and the adorable Butterfly is from Marianne's. I cut it out, embossed it, drybrushed it with Creme paint, sanded it and inked...I put that poor butterfly through just about everything lol!!

HO HO HO

Hi Friends! I hope your having a wonderful week so far? This summer seems to be flying by, and it's not just me, I've heard it from everyone lol! But secretly I'm so glad because fall is my favorite time of the year. I love how the air is cooler and fresh and the trees start turning pretty  colors and I love lighting my candles and the smell of them throughout the house :-) I think I have enough candles to last a lifetime and I keep buying more lol :-)

Well, I have a quick card to share today...I know It's not even close to Christmas....but I got this new Unity Stamp in the mail called "25 Days of Christmas" when I saw it I was hooked on the cute little banner with  the Santa and other cute images :-) The Santa is from Papertrey and the December calendar is also in the Unity Set.

Shabby Tea Room Challenge #74

 This Week's challenge is :

Boy, I would love to have some of those double tea pots in the back....so cute!!!

Here's my take :-) The frame under the Tea Pot is from  Robyn's Fetish and it's called  Ornate Frame  I paper pieced it with some LYB paper . The backround paper is also LYB. The little flower is Webster's Pages...I love these flowers!!! The Tea Pot is Papertrey and the sentiment on the tea pot is also papertrey. It had a circle around it and it wouldn't fit on the tea pot, so I inkes the image and wiped off the ink on the cirle and it fir perfectly! :-)

August Challenge at Tiffany Doodles!!

Hi Sweet Blogging Friends!!

My 1st DT assignment at Tiffany Doodles!! I love printing and coloring with my digital images :-). There are so flexible! You can  either coloring them in, or paper piece them!!! If you haven't tried it....give it a go it's fun!!!

This month's Challenge at Tiffany Doodles is to make a card with Kraft Paper! I used Tiffany's cute little Crab . I cut the tree with my Cricut and the sun is Pink Paislee (Hometown Collection)

Tiffany Doodles DT & Unity Stamp August Sketch Challenge!

Hi sweet bloggers :-) I hope your week is going great! For me, it's gone really fast!!Yeah!!!

It is official! I am a new member of the Tiffany Doodles design team! I am lucky enough to get to play with tons of digital images that are so awesome... Check it out at Tiffany Doodles . There are images for everyone...my style is cutsie stamps ..but I may have to try my hand at serious :-) !!....all shapes and styles!  The New August challenge will be coming soon so be on the lookout.... Also, some fab sales going on this month so check them out too! Images as low as $1... !! For those new to digital images, don't be scared... I was at first, but with being on the Shabby Tea Room DT I had challenges to use these adorable images and coloring is so popular now getting the designs right away is instant gratification for me lol!!... Talk about fun and user friendly... Digital images allow you the flexibility of changing the size of your image!, so many options... :-) Tiffany also has tutorials that show you how simple it is!! Thanks Tiffany!!! :-)


 I always want to play along with all the challenges out there in blog land, but I always have time restrictions :-( This week I have lots of time and I have a ton of  Unity's Kit of the month stamps :-), so...this month's challenge was perfect!

Here's the challenge : Take out ANY Unity Kit of the Month and make a card or other stamped project (card or other stamped project) based on the sketch above.

I used August Kit of the Month for this card. I paper pieced the owl and inked the birds in the background to make patterned paper. The sentiment and heart are also in the kit :-) Pretty simple sketch and you know me! Pile on the embellies lol!! This is as simple as I go lol!!!
