Hi! Just popping in with a quick card to share today. I love my Just Rite stamps and decided to make a card and emboss this intricate frame in turquoise. Turquoise is one of my favorite at the moment. It's funny how your tastes change, I used to love the soft colors and now I've switched to the bright :-)

Well the rain has gone for a few and the temp changed from the 50's and today it's suppose to be 87!! Yeah!! It always seems to do that in Redding...go from winter to summer.. :-)

Here's a funny story...I wasn't there, but my grandaughter had a soccer practice a few days ago. Jasmine has always loved flowers. When she was little we would go around smelling flowers..so here she was playing soccer and she spotted some flowers so she ran off the field to go smell them lol! Her dad yelled at her to play the game and I guess she started crying, so the whole team ran over to her to make sure she was O.K., and mind you she is the only girl on the team lol!!Well, she's only 4 and sometimes flowers are more fun than soccer right?? :-)

I hope you had a fantastic weekend! I'm out of town visiting family so posted this ahead of time :-)

This card was fun to make! I used an adorable Til De Swirl from Magistical Memories. I painted it cream and inked with Dark chocolatete. The adorable bird cage is Crate Paper. I used some MME, and a bit of Crate paper. The heart tag is Papertrey Ink.

I'll be home Tuesday and this wee should be beautiful outside!! I can't wait to get a break from the rain :-) Jasmine's 1st soccer game has been cancelled twice due to rain ...so cross your fingers that it's a go this weekend!

Crate Paper !

A Happy Friday to you!

I have a quick card to share.  I started with a Tim Holtz Embossing Folder and dry brushed over the top of it with Acrylic paint. The die cut in the back is a lace spellbinders nesstabilities and the bottom is from my Cricut "Wild Cards" and of coarse, the paper is Crate!

It's still raining here, with a bit of hale, and thunder and lighting......so my granddaughters 1st soccer game might be cancelled again...we will see.

Rain Rain Go Away

is what I say this morning :-) We have had rain for a week now and when you look at the weather forecast it's rain, rain and more rain :-(. I don't mind the rain but a few days of sun in between would be a nice break.

So I decided to make a bright cheerful card :-)

with

you guessed it lol...Crate Paper. And the punch on the edge is Martha Stewart. No buttons of ribbon, I thought it was busy enough lol

And this Butterfly is  from the collection of Bo Bunny, it's called  Gabrielle. The script paper is MME, "remember this" is Echo Park's For the record and the trim at the bottom is Magistical Memories Scallop Border that I sprayed with Glimmer Mist in Turquoise. Very quick and easy and make it any color you want!

Good Morning!

Monday again...Ugggg!!!!! There's just not enough time on the weekend to get everything done...especially play with my new paper :-) The new Crate paper is so darn cute. I made three cards last night with it...but can only share two for now :-) The colors are my fav's right now..And the Portrait collection is yummy too!!!Can't wait to play some more tonight!

Pretty Lillte Things

Christine Middlecamp has a wonderfully creative idea see here Pretty Little things and thought it would be fun to contribute to her box.I know...I know CP again...but I can't help it...This paper just inspires me ....and I knew I was going to Sacramento today to drop off a friend at the train station..so I called the scrapbook store to see if the new Crate paper was in and they said they didn't carry it...I was bummed!!, so you can imagine how excited I was today to walk in their store and see it on the shelves ((((((YIKES)))) I was over the moon...does anyone else get so excited about paper and embellishments ??(Wink)  I plan on promptly playing with it tomorrow...am pooped from the drive and my daughter dragging me to the Mall...but I sure had a great time! Crate and Barrel...Pottery Barn... ooohhh!!!! Fun did I tell ya !!!

The picture inspired me to make a shabby card, the picture screams shabby to me..lol

Here's my take on both challenges. I started by inking the text(Papertrey Ink stamp) at the top of the card with Chartreuse Ink. I then added patterned paper(October Afternoon)  right below the text  I punched the scalloped edge and inked the circle images  with more Chartreuse . The circle stamp is (Giga Guide Lines, Papertrey Ink). I found the image on ETSY.

The Shabby Tea Rooom #51

Hi Friends!

This week's challenge over at The shabby Tea Room is "Make a card using red, black, white or cream". I bought this paper when I went to a crop a few weekends back and thought it was perfect! It's the new 7 gypsies "Lille" it's beautiful paper.:-) Won't you come join in the fun?

I was thinking that the title should read "Life is good BE happy". And then I thought, no, I want it to be the word "thankful" because sometimes we forget the things we are thankful for because we get so busy and let the sad things overwhelm us. That is my word this year and I'm trying to re-program my brain to not dwell on the sad things and think about all the things I'm thankful for ..... My Kids, grand kids, my friends, my job.etc... Won't you share the things that you are thankful for?

Back to Nature!

I know another post so soon. Shocking isn't it? lol! ( For you Jing Jing lol) I made this card for Magistical Memories. I've been absent from the DT for a few months...with such a bad year I needed some down time and Crystle and Sue were so understanding! And now I'm ready to go again! A big THANK YOU to Crystle and Sue! You are the BEST!!

I made this card with MM Trees that I covered with October Afternnon paper , sanded and inked.
