I went to my crop this last Saturday and had a wonderful time! . We meet and become friends with people thru our blogs but don't always get a chance to meet them in person .I finally met Christie Bryant and it was wonderful!! She made the cutest cards!!!! She's so very talented!  Here's a picture of the store and can you believe the trees blooming already and check out those daffodil's

And look at my place at the table. Isn't this the cutest?? Karen had a bag of goodies for each of us and the box has lots of ribbons, lace, flowers .etc...All I can say is she out did herself!

O.K. you will have to tip your head to the right a tad as I can't get this picture to rotate for the life of me. Look at our dessert! So decadent!!!! Yum! I have to admit I dodn;t get much done but ate alot!!!
The next day on our way home we took a detour to this covered bridge. It was 5 miles down this quaint road. The day was perfect for a drive! Isn't this a gorgeous covered bridge?

These are the grounds around the bridge. The have picnic tables and b'bques

Here's the toll schedule back in the day

I'll leave you with this card I made for a submission to Paper Crafts that they didn't pick up :-(

Have a great day! Char

I was feeling ...all over the place with this card :-) I used some of my old Making Memories , and Basic Grey (:-)))), but I think it's the busiest card I've ever made..I'm thinking it looks way better in person lol! I'm getting excited for my all day chop at my fav scrapbook store in Paradise. Its this Saturday! I'm thinking I will bring some kits to finish..that way I won't have to think and I can just socialize :-) The weather has been a dream...In the 70's, sunny but I guess the bad thing is everything is getting blooms on it (Its to early)...

You guys are going to laugh...last night when I left work I went out to my car and It was COVERED in bird poop...not just a little ALOT!! I could hardly see out of my window to drive lol! We have these red berries that the birds are eating and then they sit in the tree that my car is parked under and poop..I'm thinking it looks like "The birds" the movie outside...I may consider using my umbrella to get to my car today !!

Happy Wednesday!! Char

"Well those sure are cute pages. I'm not that creative." "You have IDEA BOOKS? Let me see."
"I guess I'll need an album, some adhesives, and paper."
"Oh, and I'll also need some templates, stickers, die cuts, and one of those trimmer things
"I can't get my page to look exactly like the one in the book!"
"You mean I have to write in my album? I will need some pens. What should I write?"
"I finished my first page. Do you like it?"
"You know I have a ton of zoo pictures, and Jr. needs his school pages done; I need another album and some more paper."
"You have printed paper? And precut paper? I'll take one of each!"
"NEW STICKERS? I'll take some!"
"NEW DIECUTS? I'll need those!

RAK!

Hi! Can you believe it's 82 degrees here! OMGosh..it feels like springtime! It's a record high for us and it's so cold in the East. Makes me almost feel bad :-) except for the fact that I would love a little snow!

I make this card for a friend of mine and love these papers that I bought at Michael's. It's K & Co and the colors are so springy!

I just got back from teaching a little make and take at my LSS and it was so much fun! I made a little Papertrey Ink Valentines bag and will share soon!  It's so much fun to get out and visit with all the wonderful ladies! And one of the benefits is I can share my addiction and they understand lol! Angie, another teacher says that her husband calls her addiction  "Paper Crack, and "Copic Coke", or something like that and I thought it was funny!

Sorry for the bad pictures. I just couldn't get everything in the lens and they look blurry. I decided to do a "Just because " RAK. Just in time for Valentines Day. Just sign up as a follower and tell me what is the most romantic thing that's ever happened to you. and of you're already a follower. wonderful!!!

I will draw a name on Feb 10th!!

Hugs! Char

Fab Challenges!

Happy Friday Friends!
This week I made this card for the Shabby Tea Room challenge and the Moxie Fab World challenge. The challenge at the Shabby Tea Room  is to make a card using homemade embellishments...and no patterned paper :-) So I rolled up my sleeves and brought out the ink for this one! I started out with a plain sheet of Papertrey cream cardstock and inked it with a light touch of red. Then I used a stamp from The Girl's Paperie. The next layer is a polka dot stamp from Papertrey Ink, and the ink is Sweet Blush. I used some small stamp prints for the center rose and just inked the outside ones. The leaves are colored with Tattered Glimmer Mist in Forest Green. The hearts are an embossing folder from Sizzix. I dry brushed white paint over the hearts and then used a dab of ink to highlight the hearts in pink. Come along and play along girls! The Shabby Tea Room   There also having a DT call over there, so anyone interest load your picture on to their blog and follow the instructions :-)

The Moxie Fab challenge is inspired by this picture :

And I made this card for the Moxie Fab challenge as well! Won't you come along and join in the fun? Here's the link Moxie Fab !!

Have a wonderful weekend!!Char
