Hi! Hope your weeks going well! I'm happy to report that Duchess is my friend for life now :-) She wags her tail and licks my face and follows me outside to water :-). Today's my last day taking care of her, so I wonder if she will forget who I am the next time?

I made this card for a friend of mine last night. She teases me all the time about wanting me to make her a card so I finally did. :-) I couldn't figure out with direction it should go? I'm thinking maybe the 1st one? I used OA, and a little Girl's paperie. The cardstock is papertrey (Berry Sorbet).

Have a great week! Char

Hi! I hope your having a wonderful weekend! I've been watching my boss's dogs for him while he's out of town. His one dog, "Duchess" ran away from me the 1st time I watched her. Granted she didn't know me , but it was winter and she left outside and we had to call my boss's son at 11:30 at night when she woulldnt come in! This time I went over the night before they left and Ana held her and I petted her , but Dutchess still wasn't sure about me, so needless to say I was leary to go over there fearing she would run off (But at least it's over 100 here and not the middle of winter." lol!! But she didn't run away and she actually decided she likes me!!! She even jumped up on my lap and cuddled yesterday!

Here's a few cards to share. I submitted both but neither one made it :-(. Better luck next time right?

And lastly, I found this cute little funny about scrapbooking. Nicole Humphrey wrote it . I hope you enjoy!

You Know You're Addicted to Scrapbooking If...
When you reach into your purse, your family scatters - they think you are reaching for that dreaded camera!
You see something metal in a parking lot or on the floor and you go back to pick it up. It turns out to be some sort of buckle/pop tab type of thing, so you pop it in your pocket, and think - yeah, I can put some ribbon through that.
You purchase every scrap magazine that hits the shelf, even though more than half the layouts in some are NOT your style.
You dream about layouts or crops. You buy scrapbook "stuff" and have no idea how you are going to use it but think, "I will use it someday." When you start scanning kids clothes because they would make great inspiration for a scrapbook page. When you spend all day at work/school sketching layouts instead of working/studying. You know you're addicted when you find an awesome piece of paper and actually DRESS your child up for pictures in clothes to MATCH THE PAPER. You know you're addicted when your husband runs into the local eatery yelling "I need water....my truck's on fire!" And your first response is, "WAIT! I have the camera!"
You plan vacations around scrapbook stores or drive 175 miles to a scrapbook store.
I hope you have a terrific weekend!

WOW, another post already! Are you shocked? :-) ? I make this little girl with a template from Papertrey. I bought them awhile back and just didn't have the time to play with them. All you do is download the templates, print them out, cut around them for your template then trace onto your paper. Easy, and makes a terrific baby card. :-)

Have a great day! Hugs, Char

Kazan's sketch #55

Happy Tuesday! Come play at http://2sketches4you.blogspot.com/ , Kazan and Laura always have some fun card sketch's . Here's this week's.

I used some Bo Bunny and Pink Paislee paper, Melody Ross chipboard that I painted green, then antique white and sanded down so they would be hints of green showing thru.

Hello!

Just a few cards to share today. I've been busy making card to submit....(not these ones :-)

This 1st card is made with my Cricut and the dial is cut from grunge paper. It's nice and flexible. But what I noticed it that there wasn't enough circles for the digits....What's with that??? I will have to look and see if it's the size I cut or if it's just that way. :-(

And this card is made with my fav....October Afternoon and the frame is Magistical Memories . I pained the frame and inked it for that antiqued look.

Have a great day! Hugs, Char

Nature Girl!

It's a beautiful Sunday! It will be 90 degrees! I'm staying home and scrapbooking all day. And later tonight I am taking a drive out to the Lake. Shasta Lake hasn't been full to the top in probably 6 years and it's so beautiful when it's full!

I made this LO of Liberty today. We went to Lake Nora a few weeks ago and she loved smelling the pine cones! Liberty picked out a few to bring home to her parents :-)

I used the New "Echo Park" paper and the letters are Maya Road, that I painted green and dry brushed to look like nature :-). And I used a sketch from the very talented Jana Eubanks!

Hi Friends!

Hope that you're week's going great! Mine is speeding along ! I played along this week with Moxie Fab's "Time to chillax"...that's the Tuesday trigger for this week. It' was a fun challenge and I used the new Echo Park's "Sweet Summertime" paper. It's bright and oh so summery! (Is that a word?) :-) I also used Melissa Frances Chipboard that I covered and glittered up , and some beautiful Webster's pages Ribbon.

Our weather has been strange. One minute it's 85 and the next thing I know the clouds are rolling in and it gets windy ..and it sprinkled last night. I had to take a picture of my rose this morning. It's called a Fragrant Cloud and on the scale of rose smells it's a 10 ! It's bright, pretty, and smells good...A keeper for sure!

Have a wonderful weekend, and thanks for visiting me :-) Hugs, Char

Hello Friends

I ran across this tutorial and you have got to check it out. Here http://retrospection.typepad.com/ Christine Middlecamp is teaching this wonderful doily class and it's spectacular!!!! I stocked up on the doilies and I figure I can make them as I have the time.

I watched the girls yesterday and got some pictures of Liberty eating yogurt before my camera died lol!!! She was looooving that yogurt :-)

And just a little few LO's to share today.I made them with Scrapbook Heaven's June Kit.
I've been making cards to submit...trying to get back some resemblance of mojo that I seem to have lost since Tasha's been gone. It's soooo frustrating!!! Does that ever happen to you?

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend! Did you do anything fun?

Have a great week! Hugs, Char

Remember When

How was your weekend? Mine was relaxing. I didn't get alot of scrapbooking done, but that's O.K.... needed the down time. :-). Made this card last week with Graphic 45. I love their Boardwalk line..very vintage and the colors are great!

This little guy was out in the front yard at a friend's house. He wasn't afraid of me, so I ran and got my camera. And he graciously spread his feathers for the picture (What a ham!!! )

And these guys were in the water taking a swim with Mom. My friend Trudie lives on the river and every year Mom comes into her yard to sit on her eggs. I saw them when the hatched and their getting so big. She lost two of them from predator's :-(.

Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Char
