Coffee and Cinnamim Rolls

We have a restaurant in town that has yummy pastries and today they are having a special on cinnamon rolls. $ 1.00 !!! So, the girls and I had to get one!! Yummy!!....I will regret it I'm sure!!

Here's a quick card that I made using Melissa Frances paper, October Afternoon rub-on's, some ribbon I got at that scrapbook store I told you about in Paradise, and K & Co stickers.

Good Morning !!

Well it's Monday again....the weekends sure go fast!! It was a beautiful weekend...in the high 70's. Just perfect for me. I live in Northern California where the weather is between 107-115 for three months in the summer, so I will be outside all the time while the weather is nice!!. That's the only thing I don't like about the area, is the heat in the summer!!. The rest of the time it's beautiful. Were surrounded by mountains and we have lots of lakes,waterfalls, camping, hiking, and I'm 3 hours from the coast.

Just a quick post..

I've learned a few things..NEVER garden with your daughter, and chase grandkids all in the same day !! She kicked my fanny transplanting rose bushes, and by the time we chased kids and ran around in the front yard blowing bubbles ..... I'm pooped!!! I am so sore I could hardly move last night!! Boy am I out of shape!! But I guess I dont feel to bad because she's 27 and sore too!!

Here's some picture's of Jasmine running around chasing the bubbles and stepping on them. She was laughing so hard and having a great time!! She had bubbles on her from head to toe!!

It's Friday Yeah!!!

I'm so glad that it's Friday!! The weather is so beautiful. Sunny and in the 70's. I have a case of spring fever! My daughter is coming over tomorrow and were planting flowers and re-potting some of my rose bushes!! Then tomorrow night my daughter and I are babysitting the grand babies! My son's Birthday is April 1st....I know.....April Fool's on me!!! Anyway his wife is taking him to sushi. I have NO idea were he got a taste for it....And his wife agrees with me!! She said she can't make faces of say yuk because that's the only thing he wants for his B'Day! (Besides the new James Bond movie that came out on Tuesday). Anyway, when they get back he'll open presents and we'll eat homemade cheesecake. (At least he has good taste in desert!!!

I made this card with Melissa Frances paper. I stamped the tag with Papertrey stamps (Tags for spring) for the bunny, instead of ink (since I don't have pink ink, I used my copic marker's). It made it look textured to me. I used my cricut for the scallp border and the eggs.

On this card, I used Cosmo Criket paper, Making Memories paper, and a Martha stewart punch.

Miracles do happen!!

My friend Tasha that I wrote about a few blog posts ago is not only doing better, but found out that she in in remission from Cancer!!!! That news has made my day!! she will still have to have a Bone Marrow transplant because of the cancer she has....it will come back. But she needs this break desperately!!!

Here's a card that I made last night using all Melissa Frances !! I LOVE her soft cute style!! But I'm also liking the bright new colors in her new line !! I also played with that new Wild Card Cartridge.

Back from Paradise!!

I went on a little road trip to a charming little town called "Paradise". It's tucked among beautiful pine trees. And there, I found an adorable little scrapbook store called Paradise Scrapbook Boutique. I've been to many scrapbook stores and this has to be the most charming!! It has hard wood floors (Which I love!!) and the walls are painted a soft yellow. And among the beautiful scrap booking supplies were awesome antiques!!! They had an antique refrigerator open with racks of recipe paper and embellishments inside !! How cute is that!! It also had beautiful antique dresser's draped with adorable ribbon...I bought tons!! I will have to go back and spend more time there...Anyway....will unpack and share some more tomorrow!! Have a great week!!!

Easter Memories....

It's a beautiful day today and thought I'd make a little bunny card. I'm having fun playing with my cricut machine!! And I'm getting spring fever!! I love Easter and watching the kids hunt for eggs!! I was looking at all the cute little egg dying kits they have out. Very fun!!! Jasmine will be fun this year....she is almost three.

Are you a slow scrapper?...or a fast one?

As I was making this card the thought occurred to me. Is anyone as S.L.O.W. at designing a card or LO as me? lol!! It shouldn't take me so long, but it does. I sit there and I have so many supplies I don't know where to begin. I told a friend at work if I ever get Laid off (Bad thought!!), she'd see me holding up a sign in front of Target " Will work for scrapbook supplies lol!!! ) Anyway, maybe if y0ur organized..you could share some of your secrets?


Most of this card was made with some new K & Co paper Wild Raspberry. Very cute and colorful designs! The "Hello " stamp and Ribbon are Papertray.

Rain, Rain go away!

Yesterday it rained so hard that we had a flood in our downtown area. Cars staled and it looked like a river!! I know we need rain....but not that much in 3 hours....I think we got 4 inches !!

Here's a little card I made with my new Cricut cartridge called "Wild Cards" I haven't played with it to much yet.....but I will!!!

Carol Wingert....

Sorry these pictures aren't great. It's raining today and I just had trouble~!

I have to share with you a lady who is extremely talented. I have learned so much from Carol. I've learned how to make books from scratch, and flowers from ribbon. She has truly inspired me and stretched my imagination . I don't like to hand sew....have never been good at it...so when I saw the instructions I growned!!!! But I did it!!! I was trying to figure out which page is my favorite....but I think that this whole kit is my favorite!! It's kit is meant to be simple to put all of your love notes in!!

This metal envelope is the coolest. It's covered with paper and decorated.

This is the other book that I made from one of Carols kits. awhile ago. It is filled with all kinds of goodies...Pop up pages and the structure of this book is an accordion, a unique pocket page, a stitched page and finally, another very unique accordion that you build and then insert into the original accordion. How fun is that? The unique accordion is a cut/fold/glue structure that Carol calls a Diamond Book...

What's so cool about the Diamond Book is that it meanders and it has lots of tiny pockets to hold those secrets...

And this page is a pop out that I will add a picture to!! How cool is that!!

And this shows the depth of the whole book.

A friend of mine is going on a wonderful trip to Greese, Italy, etc....( Boy am I jealous!) the only place I've been out of the country in Victoria Canada! So I made this card for her :-). I used Making Memories, and Creative Imaginations paper, October Afternoon Embellishments and Making Memories Embellishments

I made this card with some cute new K & Co paper. It's got some beautiful paper and butterfly embellishments. It has a french twist which I like. I also used papertray ribbon. I am falling in love with there products! They have great stamps and ribbon!!! And of coarse I finished it off with a Melissa Frances sentiment.
