Hello

Hi! Just a quick post with a card I made last month lol! Destiny and Kinley moved in with me a few weeks ago and Kinley has been tied to my hip lol!

Its a good thing! Destiny and I have been spring cleaning like crazy. She is a minimalist and I am not, so she says...mom, if you keep one think you need to get rid of two lol! So we have to compromise and its like bickering with a spouse lol! I know quite a few people in there 30's and they all seem to be minimalists. It's weird. You'd walk into my daughters home and it was so sterile.....like no one lived there. I was raised with knick kacks...etc and some of my stuff is sentimental and she doesn't understand....she will say OK keep one thing that's sentimental not 15 , when I want to keep all of it lol. But I have to admit, the house is looking good! Today I went home for lunch and my mat outside of the front door was gone.....I asked her "What happened to my mat"? she replies, I'm buying you a new one, the other one is old. I tell her that when you constantly throw things away  , you have to re-buy it and that gets expensive right? But she would rather do that then store things. What do you girls think on the matter? Hugs, Char

Life is tough but so are you

Hi Friends! Happy Monday!

I bought the cancer stamps over at Ellen Hudson. $25.00 goes to the Breast cancer Society!
The Sunflower is from Penny Black and the background stencil is Tim Holtz.
I make a lot of cards to sell at work and part of the money goes to the Soroptimist's  and they fund money for women who can't afford a mammogram. So I figured this set would be perfect for the cards I make. :-)

So I've been collecting Copics over the last 6 months and couldn't figure a holder for them. Then I saw this and it is perfect! I already had the cart from Ikea that I bought in December and this little holder is made for the cart! So when I Copic color I just roll the cart wherever I'm coloring! I just received 40 more Copics and will have the holder almost full, but there are colors I don't think I'll
ever use....like the fluorescent's. This is a HUGE investment, so I had to think about how often I use them because I don't want to waste money, but  in the end I caved, and I do use them often. They are a learning curve too!

Have a great day! Hugs, Char

Happy Mother's Day

Hi Friends! It's time for Papertrey's Blog Hop!

April Inspiration

I made this card in record time, and that included the shaker part! a half hour :-) Needless to say I am a very slowwwwww card maker. This die is from Papertrey and it's called Mix and Mat : Scallop Die   easy to use, I cut it out with some watercolor paper. water colored it in, added the foam tape, sequins, and woola!

Have a wonderful week! Hugs, Char

You give me butterflies

Hi! Happy Friday!

Here's another card I made with MFT Stamps Beautiful Butterflies. I really love this set! I wish I would have embossed the sentiment in a darker color, but in person it shows better.

I
I'm getting Kinley tonight, and tomorrow were headed to Sacramento to the zoo! Will be fun!

Johns trial starts July 5th, so I need to distress myself as much as possible :-(....Gearing up for the worst, trying to prepare myself isn't easy, but after 2 years of this I'm ready for it to be over.

Life is more beautiful with you in it

Hi Friends! I hope you had a wonderful Easter! I did! I arrived at my daughter's house on Saturday. We dyed the eggs and she had a blast! We went out in front and planted jelly beans in the front yard, the on Easter morning Kinley woke up to lollipops where we planted the jelly beans! Pictures below :-)

I made two of these cards, but only had time to take one picture this morning . The other one is in different colors . They are for some friends who have been so supportive and I appreciate them so much!!. In today's world it's so hard to just take care of your family, and then there's the Angel's on earth who find the time to reach out and truly care!!!

I started by inking a Tim Holtz stencil with distressed ink only on a portion of the watercolor color paper, the butterflies are from MFT, and the sentiment is from PTI.

(Don't worry she had to share with her cousins lol)

Thanks for stopping by my blog my friends, I know I'm hit and miss! Hugs, Char

Wish you the most beautful day!

Hi Friends!

I hope your having a wonderful week! I received a letter in the mail from Altenew, and imagine my surprise,  they sent me my very own custom stamp! It included stamps "Made by Charlene Cundy". I thought that was such an awesome and generous idea! The stamp is the bouquet you see,  but instead of using the base of the stamp I used the detail and embossed them to make my background. I colored them in using my copics. I will make another card soon by using the base and detail stamp :-)

The sentiment is from Beautiful Day stamp set.

I received two very special Easter cards from my dear friend's Maria and Greta and each one is so adorable! Thank You friends, Lisa too!  I will treasure each and every card you have sent me :-) Kinley LOVES looking at all the cards I get :-) She loves making them too :-)

Have a beautiful Easter! Hugs, Char

Happy Easter

Hi Friends!

I can't believe that Easter is here already. I'm going to spend the night at my daughters, so we can die eggs ! Kinley is at the cutest age, she gets so excited about everything :-) It's suppose to rain on Sunday here boo hoo!

For this card I stamped the background with Wplus9 Big Top Background, then I stamped another impression on paper and added it behind the frame. Copic colored the kids in (Pretty Pink Posh) and popped them up onto the background. Then I popped up the frame onto the card and stamped the sentiment.

Kinley went to Disneyland about a month ago and I couldn't go, next time! I wanted to share a few pictures!

She loves her Disney so!

HAPPY EASTER! Hugs, Char

Happy Easter

Hi Girls!

I've been slowly starting to make cards again. With all that's happened in the last few years I

have true fully lost my love of card making. It has always been such a great stress reliever, but now when I sit down I feel overwhelmed because nothing creative comes to mind. I was excited to feel creative the other night and enjoyed making a few cards for Easter. I showed my daughter the cards I make and she say's......I miss your shabby cards. I guess I do miss making those to, but of I don't have mojo, I really won't have it with those type of layering cards .
This card was made with three different companies. The background is Wplus 9, the bunny is from Purple Onion designs, and the flower is new from Altenew.

I
I'll be back in a few days with my other card :-) Hugs, Char

Have a wonderful day

Hi girls!

I hope your having a great week. The weather here has been spring like, with everything blooming, including my nose :-) These roses are so pretty, there from Gina K stamps. Very easy to line up and their beautiful roses!

I hope you have a great day! Hugs, Char

May you weather this storm

Hi Friends! Long time, no blog :-(...I'm sorry about that, I hope you haven't forgotten me! I needed the time to sort through my crazy life and sometimes life gives you lemons, and in my case, it's a semi load :-(. I did get this card kit from Hero Arts and thought it was perfect to make for my life at the moment lol!

I hope all is well with you girls and I miss the blog visits, but will try harder to see your awesome cards!! Hugs, Char

Thanks for lifting me up!

Hi Friends! Happy Tuesday!

http://curtaincallchallenge.blogspot.ca/2017/02/feb15-woven-reminder.html
I decided to play along with the Curtain Call Challenge! This card is a mix of Simon Says and Stampin Up! I love this elephant, he's adorable! Well, we didn't make it to Disney on ice :-( When we got to a town called Willows, the interstate was a river!) We turned around and the traffic was so bad it took us 45 minutes to go a mile! Luckily, Kinley is so young she didn't really understand, so she  wasn't upset!

Have a great week! Hugs, Char

Please be mine

Hi Friends! Happy Friday!

Image may contain: outdoor and nature
Well my little town is flooding all over the place! The Sacramento river is growing be the day :-( This rain has got to give us a break! I may need to break out the wood and make a boat lol!

I hope you have a great weekend! I'm going to my friends stampin up party tonight, should be fun!

I have court again on Tuesday, prayers please :-)

Hugs, Char

Somebunny is thinking about you

Hi and happy Monday! It was a beautiful weekend after all that rain! I feel so sorry for the towns of Oroville, Marysville, and Yuba City, all evacuated yesterday over100,000.00 people because of the dam. Its about 2 hours from me. I pray that the dam holds, and everyone gets to go home. My daughter is about a half hour away in Chico and that's where most everyone got evacuated to. I'm sure you have heard about it, it's been on national news. Times like this I wish I had extra room for people!

Just a little card to share today! This is a new stamp set from Gerda Steiner  Designs, called Hoppiness! She has the most adorable stamps! I think I will enter this card in the monthly "share your designs" challenge.

I hope you have a wonderful week! Hugs, Char

Happy Valentine's Day

Hi Friends! Long time no blogging. My life is extremely busy and I've made cards I just haven't had the time to post them :-( Anyway, I hope your all doing wonderful for the new year? I've been blessed to have Kinley every weekend, although I seem to catch everything from her :-) I always say she's going to love me to death lol! I've been teaching her to stamp, and with the MISTI she makes lots of cards for her parents! You can NEVER start kids to soon stamping!

Have a Swell Christmas

This card was made with Simon Says stamp set Swell Christmas I used the tiny ornaments to make the background and water colored them in.
Big Holiday Hugs~! Char

Merry and bright greetings

Hi friends! Can you believe that Christmas is in a few days? I still haven't got my wrapping done, but finished my cards to send off, I'm afraid they will be late this year :-( It was 29 degrees here this morning, not the usual, so cold!! I need to get my roses pruned this month, spring will be here before you know it!

For this card I used Papertrey' s newest Cover plate "Cozy Christmas" The greeting is from Simon Says Merry And Bright Stamp Set , and the deer , sadly, I'm not sure.

I hope you girls have a wonderful stress free day! Hugs, Char

Seasons Greetings

Hi Friends! Can you believe Christmas is only 12 days away! Even though I got the tree up and presents bought early, I still need to wrap them!

I haven't had time (as usual) to make a lot of Christmas cards this year and worse, haven't sent any out yet! I'd better get on it ! I have received some beautiful cards from you girls! They put a smile on my face! I love you girls and your support and kindness!

For this card I used a stamp set from PPP, as soon as I saw it I needed it lol! I just stamped the kids and colored them in with copics!

Visions of sugarplums!!

Hi Friends! Welcome to Day 1 of the Annual "Visions of Sugarplums" Blog Hop!
For the last few years the talented Lori Hairston of Chouxchoux Paper Art
has been hosting a super fun blog hop with several other bloggers showcasing anything from Holiday Recipes to Greeting Cards and more for the Christmas holiday, with LOADS of prizes to win.

Here is my project for Day 1! I just love to make smowmen and I thought these guys would be a fun decoration! I found some vintage molds on Etsy and they were 14.00 for 7 of them.
You will need smooth styrofoam balls, paint for the eyes and mouth, and clay for the nose! They are easy and fun to make!! Once they were done I sprayed glue all over the snowmen and used some rock glitter !
