Hi Friends! I hope your having a great week! Thank You for the congrats and well wishes for my daughter and I, you guys are the best!! I'm still trying to wrap my head around my daughter having a husband  :-) I love that shes married and so so happy!!! Life is great!!

 Can you SEE this card lol!! I used Criss Cross Card stock and it's bright and happy!!! The stamp and sentiment is from  the Very Vintage set . A great set!!!

City Crafter Week #159 One stamp 2 ways

Hi Friends! This week Kirsty is our hostess at City Crafter!!

and she picked the theme:

 One stamp two ways (create 2 projects with the same stamp) !

 

 For my 1st card I embossed the stamped flowers and water colored them in

 

And for this second card I just stamped the flowers with ink and cut them out...very easy!

Sorry I've been MIA....My daughter was due to get married in October. They decided they are tired of the long distance commuting and eloped Saturday!!! I spent the weekend in beautiful Lake Tahoe and the weather was perfect!! And I have never seen my dear daughter so happy!!! Pictures to follow...after I find some time to edit :-)

City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #158 Royal

Hi Friends! Happy Tuesday!! It's Wendy's first time as a hostess at City Crafter and she has chosen the

Theme: Royal

Use anything royal in your project, like queens/kings, princess(es), crowns, carriages, palaces/castles. They pop up a lot in fairy tales too, so here's an inspiration photo of Cinderella fleeing her princes palace.

 

Here's my take! I cut the castle with my Cameo and backed it with some shimmer paper from PTI (Love this paper)! The banner and trim is from Crate DIY

Thinking of you

Hi Friends! Just popping in for NSD! What did you do today? Join any challenges? I didn't have alot of time today, just did manage a card.

 

 

I started off by stamping some individual flower stamps from PTI Mini Blooms Stamp Set. Then I cut a strip and added stamps over the strip for a continuance of the design.

For my card I used Emma and dressed her in You are fabulous stamp set. I paper pieced her outfit with paper from Bety's Digital Shop. The heart is cut with the Cameo.

City Crafter Challenge # 157 Spring has sprung!

Hi Friends! It's my turn to host this week's challenge at City Crafter. !

It's spring!!!! My roses are all in bloom and the birds are singing! I love this time of year and what better way to celebrate then making a card or project with spring colors? This picture really caught my eye as I love this rusty old can with the combination of these colors! I can't wait to see your cards, or other creations!!!

(make a project using the colors in the picture - pink, blue, green, brown)

 

I cut a watering can with my Cameo and embossed it with a wood grain embossing folder, then I dry brushed it for an old weathered look. The papers are from Bety's Digital, and the sentiment and tulip stamp are from PTI.

Hi Friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend? The weather is out of control here...April and the high 90's!! What's with that? I'm sooooo not ready for the heat yet. Hopefully, the weather will cool off a bit before summer sets in. I think we are in for a hot summer.

 

I just got some of this Simple Stories paper in and I love it! It's the colors that I love, and the cutest embellies :-)

 

 

This rose is called a just Joey. On the scale of 1 to  10 the fragrance is a 10! Its related to my Fragrant Cloud which to me, is the best fragrant rose out there.

 

 

My roses are just popping out all over the place, I love my Roses!!

 

 

It was a quiet weekend for me. I took Friday off and wound up working for half a day, worked a bit on Saturday, fertilized my Flowers, vacuumed the car, cleaned house, and made a few cards, and it's time for work again. Sigh........never enough days off. I am having another sleep over with the girls Friday. Looking forward to it!!

Papertrey ink Blog Hop!

THE CHALLENGE:

 

 I started by embossing the top of the card diagnially with Tin Types Impression Plate, then I cut some stripes with the new Shimmer Paper and glued the strips diagnially. The flower is Happiness In Bloom stamp set. I stamped the flower with Aqua Mist and Hawaiian Shores, then I added a button in the center.

I can't follow directions! I ran short of time last week and didn't double check the whole challenge, sorry Ros :-(. Apparently I can't be trusted to follow directions....back to school for me? :-) I guess if I wanted to stretched it, I do see a rainbow :-), so I guess I'm a wee bit more safe lol!!!

 I'm having the grand kids over night on Friday and can't wait! We always have craft night! Not sure what kind of crafts were doing..I like to change it up and do different crafts....maybe painting thsi time :-)

I can tell spring as arrived as my rose bushes are popping up all over the place! I love these David Austin roses because they have a lot of petals and are shabby and romantic to me.

 It's that time again for Wplus9 Monday mood board! I love this challenge ! Dawn does a great job with the challenges!, always so inspiring!

Here's my take. I started by inking the top of the card with  Very Vintage Florals, I LOVE this set because it has alot of different sized roses and that's great for varied backgrounds! Then I stamped the bottom with a new stamp set called Quilt Prints. I added a few scattered roses around the pattern...

I added some burlap, lace, ribbon and a felt flower with a big white button in the center, tied with twine

Birthday Wishes

 

Hi and a happy Thursday!! I'm more than halfway thur the week and I'm sooooo glad, it's been a tough week so far! Thank goodness I have crafting to take my care away :-) And what better way to turn a bad day into a good one is to get inky right? And the challenge at Wplus9 called to me as I just received some fun stamps from them yesterday... LOVE them! Here's the mood board for this week:

 

 

 

Here's my take:

 

 

I started off by embossing some flowers randomly on some white card stock. After I embossed all the flowers I added some ink onto a craft sheet and filled in the flowers with a water brush and ink, then I added some soft orange ink to color the background with a sponge. I did the same technique with some bigger flowers to frame the label. The trim is from Melissa Frances and the white border on the bottom is cut with my cameo.  I was having a hard time with the picture taking as it's been extremely windy for the last few days so the pink trim was blowing all around :-)

 

 

I had a lot of fun making this card! Usually I use patterned paper on my cards, with some inking, but this one is totally from scratch :-)
